Participant Guide

Please read below for important event day details!

PACKET PICKUP

FRIDAY, November 6th, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

AND

SATURDAY, November 7th, 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM

BOTH Packet Pickup options will be at the event site:

Ocean Isle Beach Park

CHECK IN

All riders are required to check in at Packet Pickup.  Riders will be given a rider number to attach to the front of their bike with ties provided.  Your rider number helps race organizers track riders and ensure everyone makes it back safely.  

NOTE: If you checked-in during the Friday packet pickup, you do not need to check in with us Saturday morning.

PARKING

Parking opens at 7:00 AM on Saturday morning

Arrive early and carpool when possible as the parking lot will be crowded.

EVENT START TIME

1, 2 and 3 Bridge routes will begin at 9:05 AM

Lil Kids Ride will begin at 9:15 AM

JERSEYS AND EVENT MERCHANDISE

If you ordered a custom jersey or custom bib/shorts, they can be picked up at packet pickup on Friday or Saturday.

Unfortunately Nike apparel was held up in shipment, and will NOT be available. If you ordered Nike apparel, you will be refunded the full purchase price. We have limited quantities of in-stock Nike apparel that will be for sale at the event.

ROUTES

All routes can be viewed HERE .  

It is STRONGLY suggested that you download the route to your phone or bike computer.  Routes are well marked, but the expected rain on Friday afternoon could alter the markings. Please be prepared by downloading the routes from the route page 

1 Bridge Riders will follow the GREEN route.
2 Bridge Riders will follow the BLUE route.
3 Bridge Riders will follow the YELLOW route. PLEASE NOTE, some minor changes were made to the 3 Bridge Route so please re-download the latest route HERE.

NEW 3 Bridge Route; US 17: The right lane of US-17 (Ocean Highway West) will be closed to vehicular traffic. Riders will use this dedicated lane on the way out to - and back from - Holden Beach. Traffic support will be on the scene to help control traffic at cross-streets. Please follow all instructions from law enforcement at all times.

 

REST STOPS

All rest stops will include water, Gatorade, Coke and snacks.

1 Bridge Route

- There are no rest stops on the 1 Bridge Route.

2 Bridge Route

- Mile 16.5, Ferry Landing Park, Ocean Isle Beach

3 Bridge Route

- Mile 16.5, Ferry Landing Park, Ocean Isle Beach

- Mile 25.3, Harley Davison, 100 Harley Davidson Dr, Shallotte

- Mile 44, Holden Beach Bridge

- Mile 59, Riders will pass the Harley Davidson stop again around Mile 59

 

SAG SUPPORT

Sag vehicles will sweep the course behind riders.  If you need support during your ride, please call the Sag Support phone numbers listed on the back of your rider number (which will be handed out at packet pickup)

 

AFTER THE RIDE

Join us back at the start/finish for free lunch provided by SBI Rotary Club! Enjoy the park and cheer on the next finishers!
